What is your curriculum?
ULC seeks to develop your child in the areas of spiritual, intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth through theme based kindergarten readiness curriculum combined with the Little Hands to Heaven bible story sequence. Each classroom does the same theme, letter, color, number and bible story for consistency, but presents the material with activities developmentally appropriate for their specific age group. Classrooms operate with the end goal of providing your child by age 5 with a kindergarten readiness education that is in line with Boone County Schools expectations.

What do you offer schoolagers in the summertime?
ULC plans a summer jam-packed with fun, educational, community service and active field trips for school age children coming out of Kindergarten through 5th grade. Field trips are planned according to the age groups of the children and average about 4 per week. When your child's group is not on a field trip we plan special activities to do on site. There is an activity fee to cover the field trips which has in the past averaged $150 for a whole summer's worth of entrance fees and transportation costs. Last summer's field trips included zoos, museums, Florence Freedom baseball, Zip City, Jump Zone, Chuck E Cheese, Lazer Kraze, Circus Mojo, Build a Bear, pizza making, pottery painting, Matthew 25 Ministries, library, firehouse, fishing, and the Florence Aquatic Center. In addition each group goes almost weekly to Union Pool, movie theater, park, and a senior citizen center. We change up the field trips and other summers' have included Ride the Ducks, Newport Aquarium, Recreation Outlet, Fort Boone, Loveland Castle, Garden of Hope, Kentucky Speedway and Cincinnati Conservatory.
ULC is a mission of Union Presbyterian Church...what does that mean for my child?
We have our children participate in praise and worship with Pastor Lisa every other week and join in the church's summer vacation bible school. We pray in the classroom and do daily bible stories. We celebrate religious holidays such as Easter and Christmas. Our goal is for our children to experience the love of Christ. By living the values we teach, we hope to instill these values in the children whose lives we touch. Members of UPC receive a 10% discount on ULC tuition.
